Genre: Adventure

All of the learnings from DS through BB are here, and as a final instalment to the franchise is a remarkably rounded love letter to its fans. Almost certainly the most accessible Souls game.

Incredibly well designed and delivers on everything it sets out to do: emotional story, a focus on exploration and discovery, and basic combat.

A fitting and challenging musically violent rhythm game with gorgeous visual styling from one half of band Lightning Bolt & friends.

I dunno, feels pretty forced to me. Its seemingly based around a big joke, but I just don’t find it very funny.

An absolute classic and one of the best point-n-click adventure games of all time. A great remaster of Tim Schafer at his peak.

Surprisingly funny, confusing and very clever. A memorable game if you can get through some of the more tedious RPG elements.

A well made game in an exhausted genre in need of innovation, which can be found here but only insofar as expanding briefly on its predecessor. Combat is fun but relies on the tired counterplay style.

Her Majesty expands mechanics of its predecessor while maintaining its simplicity. Great little game with, of course, lots of replayability.
