FYI

Pretty innovative FPS roguelite with a cool comicbook artstyle. Not the most difficult or replayable game but interesting.

Addresses some of the flaws in the original (map design, enemy variation), but still feels underwhelming and repetitive. If you have soulslike withdrawals it’s worth a shot because it has fun moments.

Currently the most polished and considered autobattler. Super addictive. Depends if it keeps getting updates, which depends if people keep playing it.

Slow and relaxing with great art and music. Spikes in difficulty felt a little artificial at times. Probably worth a play, but you certainly need to be in the mood.

Another in the line of 2D soulslikes. This one is quite a bit more derivative than most, and I’m sure somewhere beneath the clunky mechanics and lack of polish is a decent game, but I struggled.

I struggled with this after not being able to get invested in the characters/world, being frustrated by overbearing UI & interruptions, and the fact that combat seems based entirely around endurance.

Fun for a while but generally more of the same. Repetitive combat has improved but is still reliant on counterplay of incredibly obvious telegraphs. Overworld plot is so arbitrary IDK why they bother.

A fantastic game which I played the hell out of growing up. This PC version is all but completely ruined though, so it’s hard to recommend. Still love that tone though.

A well made game in an exhausted genre in need of innovation, which can be found here but only insofar as expanding briefly on its predecessor. Combat is fun but relies on the tired counterplay style.

Really great concept and fantastic to look at, and I’m always on the side games staying succinct, but I think this one’s too short. The entire game basically feels like character creation. Make more!
