Incredible writing, unique approach to RPG elements with hilarious and dank, nihilist atmosphere. Truly an extraordinary game. Absolutely a must play.
I’m almost getting tired of saying “Supergiant does it again” but it’s true. They turn their incredible skill toward roguelikes here, while maintaining all their patented quality, and absolutely nail it.
EA published a good game! This clearly takes some inspiration from soulslikes - and some of that is present - I would draw more comparisons to Tomb Raider, God of War and Unchartered. Very fun.
(Reviewed during alpha.) A modern interpretation of Pokémon as an MMO. Runs extremely well, is pretty adorable and relaxing to play. One to watch as content is added.
A gripping narrative-driven mild-action adventure through a dark vision of 14th century France. Really good voice acting, gorgeous visuals. Can drag a little bit at times, but definitely worth it.
Early access survival game, but it’s… actually really good? Smooth movement, gorgeous visuals and lots of depth (no pun intended). Can be a bit overwhelming at first, but stick with it.
Confusing at first & I think that’s a good thing, so go in blind. The controls are a bit slippery at first but they get better. This has tonnes of depth and the combat is rewarding if a little spammy.
This would have been a thumbs down upon release. Hello Games have since weathered the storm and managed to turn this into a good game. It worries me what other studios will learn from this however.
I had to install this and try to like it five times. I’m sure theres a good game somewhere among the dotted line GPS, braindead quests and interruptions at every turn, but I kinda can’t be bothered finding it.
Fun for a while but generally more of the same. Repetitive combat has improved but is still reliant on counterplay of incredibly obvious telegraphs. Overworld plot is so arbitrary IDK why they bother.
