Metal Eden is a high-speed sci-fi FPS launching on PS5 on May 6, 2025. It features “Core Ripping”, letting players use a Gravity Beam to tear cores from enemies - either launching them as explosives or absorbing them for buffs to melee, mobility, and survival.

Housemarque’s next game, Saros, is coming to PS5 in 2026. A reportedly fast-paced, roguelite shooter, each death alters the world while unlocking new upgrades. While it shares Returnal’s DNA, it introduces fresh mechanics and a new setting. Looks rad.

Nintendo has finally unveiled the Nintendo Switch 2 in a brief promo, confirming rumours (leaks) of a larger, more powerful hybrid console. Set for release in 2025, it supports OG Switch games, retains detachable Joy-Cons, and includes a new Mario Kart. Pricing remains unannounced.

Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet is a new sci-fi game for PS5. Play as Jordan A. Mun, a bounty hunter stranded on Sempiria, a planet isolated for centuries. Featuring a score by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, “survive and attempt the first escape in over 600 years”. Looks super cool.
