An almost flawless explosion onto the scene by Jon Blow. Simple mechanics that grow increasingly complicated, making way for some challenging puzzles inside a beautiful and sombre world. Must play.

A simple but unique puzzle platformer which may seem gimmicky but is actually quite good, if a little buggy.

One of the best games ever made. Dauntingly complex, but mindblowingly considered and exceedingly well executed. It’s hard to overstate the brilliance of Dota 2, a game beyond compare.

An innovative and unique take on turnbased strategy with tonnes of replayability. Great soundtrack and decent narrative.

A classic modern and hugely influential roguelike which will make you love/hate RNG like almost no other. Strikes a great balance of simplicity and underlying complexity. Almost certainly a classic.

Extremely well designed first person physics-based puzzle game with terrific voice acting. Short playtime and not mindbendingly challenging, but worth a look if you’re into the genre.

If you’re an Ed McMillen fan, you gotta pick this up. The games vary a lot and it’s hard to critique what are essentially chapters in an autobiography.

Transistor is a bold, beautiful masterpiece. Turn-based strategic combat which is fun and challenging punctuate an absolutely gorgeous, bittersweet story with typically great Supergiant dialog and VA.
