Genre: Shooter
It is a Far Cry game. You get what you expect. I’m bored of it and this does nothing to turn that around.
The GTA i played most as a kid. Improves on everything in its predecessor.
The juggernaut that is GTA V is of course grander in ambition and scale, but I still think this is a better game. Cars handle a little strange at times, but everything else here is a masterclass.
Has aged relatively well, but is obviously far simpler and indeed… quite easy. Humble beginnings for what grew into a lumbering titan of the industry.
Stress Level Zero’s opening act before they got stuck into Boneworks. Addictive gameplay loop and cool setting - definitely worth testing a new VR setup on.
I’m not entirely sure why this exists. Seemed kind of intriguing at first, but became painfully laborious almost immediately. Worth a play if you’re obsessed with the franchise, but not otherwise.
Fascinating and complex systemic game design, executed extremely well. The systems allow for virtually endless emergent scenarios amongst the rewarding exploration and fun, chaotic combat
Devolver are crazy, man. Love ‘em.
Gorgeous and lovingly crafted. Some of the best-in-class gunplay. Tonnes of content now, even a little overwhelming. Needs work on the new/returning player experience, but fun if you can push through.
Undoubtedly gorgeous and definitely an… OK game, but very simplistic and predictable. Would have preferred more subversion of a story I feel like I’ve heard before.
