IGN got their hands on the upcoming Unreal Engine 5 powered soulslike Black Myth Wukong. Check out the footage here, and their writeup here.

I was ready to bounce off, intimidated by its depth and pacing, but this game is truly something else. Great writing, VA, world design and more than anything, an obscene level of player agency.

A bit buggy at launch, but an undoubtedly pretty and exceptionally satisfying Vampire Survivors-like. Think it will benefit hugely from updates, adding more build options - but very fun already.

Has come a pretty long way since its predecessor was “just an attempt at a soulslike with guns”. Fantastic visual and sound design, great characterisation and world design. Way more fun with friends.

Mechanically quite dated, but a classic of its era. If you didn’t play it back then, this is a really solid remaster. Enemies are bullet-spongey and sometimes track you too well, but it’s still great.

Creepy and suspenseful, it’s a classic just like its predecessor. If you like immersive, scary RPGs, and don’t mind some dated systems, play it.

Great art, character design and music. As a game and colouring book, it ranges from OK to kinda-fun. The story is the hero here, with great writing as you’d expect from this team. Cool little game.

It’s hard to not say “more of the same but a little less compelling”. Awesome art, music, VA and world design. A little let down by its story, at least compared to its predecessor, but still good.

Cool metroidvania with slick movement and a mildly puzzling world. Oftentimes feels a bit samey and a forgettable story drags it down a bit but there’s enough here to pick it up on sale.

It’s impossible to not describe as Animal Crossing meets Rust, but I think that’s exactly what they’re going for. It’ll be super cool once enough content is in, but it’s already worth a quick look.
