Genre: Adventure

A perfect sequel expanding massively on an already brilliant puzzle mechanic. The puzzles are challenging and well designed, but the centrepiece is the plot and specifically the characters.

Immersive, pleasant and engaging - but clearly not for everyone. It’s far richer visually and auditorily than mechanically, but if you need a beautiful walk around, it’s for you.

Extremely well designed first person physics-based puzzle game with terrific voice acting. Short playtime and not mindbendingly challenging, but worth a look if you’re into the genre.

IMO, the last good Saints Row game. Humour is at different times stupid, crude and also clever. It’s absurd, and absurdly fun. Play with a friend.

Beautiful and sad. Well designed, minimal & stylised visuals with no UI to interrupt the immersion throughout a relatively short experience.

Beautifully crafted, hugely influential, challenging and fun.

The new benchmark for smooth, responsive controls for skilful platformers. Funny art direction, great music and awesome level design which is super rewarding to overcome. A must-play for the genre.

If you’re an Ed McMillen fan, you gotta pick this up. The games vary a lot and it’s hard to critique what are essentially chapters in an autobiography.

Arguably the grand-daddy of modern rogue-likes. Ed McMillen hones his tradmarked style of absurd, funny darkness in this virtually infinitely replayable & deep, fucked up world. Must play.
