Company: Rockstar Games

Releasing earlier than scheduled to combat an unfortunate leak, the GTA VI trailer is here. Featuring our protagonist Lucia, her partner in crime, the usual fast cars and parties, on a backdrop of Vice City and Floridian madness. Set to release in 2025 (though no mention of PC), it’s looking fantastic - love the apparent Bonnie & Clyde vibe. Wonder how many billions this will make.

Following the announcement last month, Rockstar have confirmed the first trailer for GTA VI will release Tuesday, December 5, 9AM ET. We love announcements of announcements of announcements.

Ten years after the release of GTA V, and in line with their 25th anniversary, Rockstar have confirmed the first look at the next in the franchise will be dropping early next month. In a series of tweets, Rockstar president Sam Houser reflects on the company’s history and speaks to his excitement for “many more years of sharing these experiences”.

Cool story with enthralling atmosphere, and does a few detective-game things really well. Action sequences can sometimes bae a bit clunky, and sometimes objectives aren’t clear. Still, it’s a classic.

The GTA i played most as a kid. Improves on everything in its predecessor.

The juggernaut that is GTA V is of course grander in ambition and scale, but I still think this is a better game. Cars handle a little strange at times, but everything else here is a masterclass.

Has aged relatively well, but is obviously far simpler and indeed… quite easy. Humble beginnings for what grew into a lumbering titan of the industry.

Obviously gorgeous, and voice acting and music also great. World is large without being empty. Story is solid, if a little repetitive and drawn-out at times. So, so much to do. Remarkably polished.

An enormous world, wonderfully fleshed out with great writing, characters and tonnes to do. Incredible production, varied gameplay and fun as hell. Manages to explore the setting and tropes without being tacky.

Rockstar have absolutely mastered this format of game, and GTA5 is the jewel in their crown. It’s extremely well designed and the singleplayer is good, albeit suffering from restrictive ways to play.
