It’s that time of year again! The official trailer for Assassin’s Creed Mirage is here, with the game eyeing an October 5 release date. Here’s hoping for something a bit different this time.

A new trailer for the Phantom Liberty expansion to Cyberpunk dropped, and in spite of the base game’s flaws (and not to encourage the same hypetrain mistakes again), this looks pretty fun! Credit to CD Projekt for reworking fundamental stuff, not ‘just’ expanding the world: all players will get the Cyberpunk 2.0 stuff, whether they purchase the expansion or not.

Ol’ mate Todd Howard took to the stage to talk, of course, about Starfield, which releases in two weeks. There was also a live action trailer, which personally I always think are kinda odd.

Pearl Abyss’ upcoming open-world action/adventure got a gameplay trailer, showing horseback exploration, combat, cat-cuddling and more.

A new entry to the cute but haunting indie puzzle/platform series was revealed - check out the trailer here. Keen.

With only four days left, From and Bandai have given us the official launch trailer for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon.

Between Baldur’s Gate, this and Starfield shortly thereafter, we’re truly spoiled for choice!

The voice of Mario, Charles Martinet has announced he is stepping down from the role after 27 years. Martinet will continue working with Nintendo as the company’s “Mario Ambassador.”

Nintendo has confirmed Martinet did no voice work for October’s Super Mario Bros. Wonder. When asked about who will portray Mario going forward, a representative said that the game’s voice actors “will be credited in the game credits, so please wait for [that] to be released.”

Bigmode Games held their first Direct-style event, with a company update, a closer look at Animal Well, the announcement of a definitive edition of Star of Providence (the bullet hell roguelike formerly known as Monolith) and more.

IGN got their hands on the upcoming Unreal Engine 5 powered soulslike Black Myth Wukong. Check out the footage here, and their writeup here.

$1.2B AUD ($776M USD) later, Angry Birds studio Rovio is now a part of Sega.

“We’re so thrilled to celebrate Rovio becoming a member of [our] Group,” wrote Sega on Twitter. Expect to see an increased Sega presence on mobile in the near future.
